There is so much, RIGHT going on that one broken rule doesn'the bother me. Can you scooch the table down towards the right end of the couch?-- the extension past the arm might be a bit less apparent. Really pretty room, and tell about that lovely painting!

Lisaam - The table is set 16.5" from both sides of the sectional and is centered on the TV. The picture doesn't represent the spacing correctly. Thank you for your kind words and suggestion though.

I think a round table would be nice since you have a lot of straight edges. But honestly it’s a really nice room and if you hadn’t pointed out that it bugs you I wouldn’t have suggested anything. I like that one piece of art too

I agree, a round would have softened the edges. This particular table from Charleston Forge came in a 36" round too. I've been kicking myself and trying to figure out how I can get my brain to stop it. That's when I came up with the idea of a hair on hide pouf next to the arm of the sectional. It may draw my eye away, plus give us more seating!

Thanks for pic. Could you try pulling the sectional away from the the wall a little and a little closer to fireplace.

Perhaps put the blanket/basket on the other end of sectional, (to extend the eye) You could play around with it. I would remove the smaller piece of art on the floor and let the other piece stand on it's own.

I don't think the poof will do what you want it to do and will look awkward next to the sectional. If you get extra seating, set it off to the side and move it when needed. The room looks great as is. The side table would work better than the poof, but I'd try to see if you can live with it as is for awhile.

Not not an expert but i think the major artwork would look better as a single item, not two. There is some 'rule of three' that makes arrangements pleasing to the eye and brain but the only way I could see to do that would be maybe with a plant or background. Experts? Something about only a pair makes me...uneasy.

Yes, you could move the coffee table further from the short side of the sectional without obstructing the traffic flow. I like it.

Quick question. I may have the opportunity to swap out the square coffee table, 36”, for a round. Same manufacture. If presented with that opportunity would you do it?

I would.

Nothing a side table can’t fix. I would keep the side piece cylindrical though to offset all the square edges here. Very nice room.

I think two ottomans have some merit. You will have to make them special, yet blend in.

Hi Judy - possibly. If you were starting from scratch, would you prefer two smaller tables or a round 36”? Currently I have a 36” sq, leaving 17” clearance.

Would keep coffee table as is unless could replace with oval rather than round. Would get end tables for each end of sectional.

I would definitely swap out for round, if you have the chance. And then I'd add a narrow rectangular end table to the short end.

What about a couple of drum tables..

As you can see I took your advice and moved the sectional closer to the TV and about 12" from the wall. This gave it some breathing room and centered the painting. Much better. I am going to try to work out a swap for a round table, same design and manufacturer. fingers crossed.
