Much too busy for my own taste.

It’s greener and pinker in person to me than it appears on the screen. The screen skews it blue and terra-cotta. It’s NOT a neutral gray. Have you seen a sample in person?

I am not a pro, or against a busy counter, as I have one myself, but I see that green as very limiting. I'd love it in a bathroom, but in a kitchen, not so much.

Get the 12x12 sample. It’s hard to tell anything from a 2x2. You could bring in the green with a celadon crackle tile for the backsplash. I don’t mind color. At all. If it’s a color that you like, it’s not limiting. It’s welcoming.

I don't like the green and pink tones. Very limiting IMO

I believe somewhere on its website, Cambria states the underlying color is "cream." I really love the colors--a more subdued version of their bolder and beautiful "Montgomery."

What I like is that there is the opportunity to accent either cool or neutral or warm tones in your kitchen. The mint is cool, the caramel/taupe is warm, and the "white" is off white warm. You can use with a variety of cabinet colors, esp. if you are going to use painted cabinets or you can make it pop more with a darker, sleek wood choice. The colors are actually delicate.

I've not seen a slab in person but from experience, I can tell that from a distance the counter will appear to be very light, probably very creamy OR depending on what you have around it in the way of a backsplash or paint, light soft gray even.

Large pieces of it, like the size you'd use for an island or a peninsula, are not at all likely to overpower anything as the colors blend the farther you stand from the piece. Only when you are working on it will you note the multiple colors.

I think it's very pretty. The one problem I have with it is that Cambria only sells it through Home Depot and I don't want and won't deal with a Big Box store.

It's always a problem for a homeowner to know how long a family will have to go w/out use of a kitchen sink and I can't imagine being forced to deal with the Cambria fabricator who is contacted by Home Depot to work with the people who are installing my cabs.

The picture offered by Cambria is very very different from the sample you posted. Yours has lots of color.

I personally like the cool green hint in the Trafalgar. BTW, obviously Home Depot is not the only way to get Cambria. I redid my master bath three years ago with Summerhill and still absolutely love it! My contractor did not go through Home Depot! I also like Cambria because it is 100% American made.

We are getting Cambria Montgomery installed this month, which has similar tones. The best thing you can do is to get the dealer sample (12 x 12) home and also get one (or two) samples from Cambria. you will see that there can be slight differences. Best Wishes with you decision - beautiful choice.

Oh and please price it out in several places - the big box stores are in many cases higher than design centers -

I am also thinking about this for my counter top in our kitchen. We are having off white cabinets and a painted island (thinking of a blue/green). Curious if you think this any blue in it. We have plenty of green in our room. I am trying to bring in blue. Thanks for any thoughts.

Hi , Even though this discussion is kind of old, i just wanted to mention that i have had Cambria Trafalgar in my kitchen for five years. I think it is beautiful! The colors are a warm white background with marbling in shade of white, cream, tan and a light bluish green. I used it on a large island, all perimeter counters, and as the backsplash filling the space between the cabinets and countertops. It doesn’t look busy to me at all. There is no pink in it. I got it through Home Depot as they had the best price at the time. The installation was done very professionally and i have not had any issues at all. My cabinets are a creamy white linen, and i had the walls painted in a light blue green to complement the quartz. I love it and have received lots of complements. Go for what you like and forget about trends!
