Hi! I am a bit stuck on the layout of the living room. I have a right side chaise that I would like to use.

I was considering adding the other pieces to the chaise sofa to make it a full sectional similar to what the previous owners did below. I am mounting the tv where the previous owners did. The only issue is that we are considering a fire place on the back wall (where the back of the sectional would block off). The room is long (about 19') so I worry that using just the chaise and an accent chair would not be enough. Thanks in advance for the advice!

In a 19 foot room the people on one end cannot converse with the people on the other end. Anything beyond 8 feet is shouting distance. Bring a group together, even closer is needed.

People like choices of different venues in a room. Create a different space at the other end. Need exact measurements to be exact, but this is the basic way I'd set up your space,

Alternatively, depending on foot traffic, you could consider the tv on the wall where ai show the 2 chairs. Then, create a second venue behind the sectional.

Sofa if possible should go on longest wall and TV opposite the sofa.....fill in from there.....your room does not look that big, so place sofa and TV and go from there.....looks like you have a walk thru living room which can be a puzzle....start with sofa and TV and go from there....

The previous owners arrangement is awful! Post a drawing of the actual space and ACTUAL dimensions of openings. Same with windows and their size and location IN the walls.

Place your TV at the appropriate height. Hard to make a recommendation without seeing the complete room.

I would not want the TV in the traffic path through the space from kitchen to dining. I assume this photo is taken from the foyer/entry to the room. How large is your TV? I think it should go at the other end of the room with the chaise sofa facing it. You can add a sofa table behind it you don't like seeing the back of it from the foyer/entry. Here's a chart to help adjust the appropriate distance from seating to TV, so you can plan the layout.

Agreed. This is one option only. Would need measurements and traffic pattern and how many need to be seated.
