Thank you for the suggestions. Very helpful. Here's my biggest dilemma. My bathroom window is approximately 38" from my shower wall. Thus, the reason for the 32" shower. And it almost forces me to try to center my toilet underneath the window. Any thoughts on this?

I do like the suggestions for removing the tower storage and going with the double vanity.

Also - what is a 4" dam?

Curb for the shower I would presume.

Centering the toilet under the window might work if the window is wide enough. Code requires a minimum of 15 inches from the edge of the shower to the center of the toilet. How wide is the window and how high from the floor?

Consider a panel of glass for the shower next to the toilet. Then you can skip the curb, which is taking up precious floor space.

Some of your 5’ shower length will be taken up by piping etc., so your shower will be around 4.5’. Then there’s the thickness of the tile, etc.

There’s only 2 feet or so of headroom in front of the toilet. Is that code?

milos is on point! I would do most of that stuff except for these couple of things:

-28” door for more space. Every inch matters.

• 19” vanity, again, for more space. If storage is a concern get a couple of medicine cabinets. If you can’t frame them into the wall, do some surface mount.

Thanks for all of the input everyone. We really just don't have much space, so I I'm leaning towards the 19" vanity, 28" door, and 32" shower. I'm opting to remove the tower storage, to make space for the double vanity. We may try to do medicine cabinets or inset shelving between the sinks. I still like the option of the pony wall to give the feel of privacy, but may go down to 4" to provide more toilet space. There will be 32" in front of the toilet, which is more than enough space.

Our bathroom Is similar. We have a full-height wall next to the vanity, slightly shallower than the vanity, with about a 6”-long pony wall that’s about, oh, 40” high. We have a medicine cabinet and an outlet on the vanity side, the paper roll on the toilet side, and the shelf is handy to set, for example, the phone when you need to bring it with you, but you don’t want it next to the sink where it might get splashed.

Although, I just realized our bathroom is 6’ wide, not 5’. Our last bath was 5’, and I think we could have done at least the pony wall, but because it was a much shorter bath, barely room for a one-sink vanity, we couldn’t do any separation, wasn’t a big deal, but given the extra length we have now, I’m glad we have the wall shaped as it is.
