Split entry light fixture

I have a small split level entryway. When standing at the upper level the light is right at eye level. Will one of the pictured light fixtures be too blinding when looking at it straight on? If yes, what fixture would be most appropriate in the area. I don't get much light in the area and even a door of all glass would not improve the lighting. Looking for a fixture with some black.
