paint stairs - thoughts?

Hello! My stairs aren’t going to work with the new flooring unfortunately. I was thinking of painting the risers white and the tread a light grey. Thoughts? My walls are a grey/white. Eider White is the color. I’ll be changing the rails too - was thinking black metal?

    I assume the new floor is vinyl plank . You can do the stairs with vinyl plank too and still paint the risers.I never paint treads they don’t stand up to daily use
