So. My contractor recently redid two bathrooms, using linear drains in both. They were both impossible to clean, as they were fixed in place, i.e., no part was removable. Asked him to replace the downstairs with a new linear drain that I could remove for cleaning. The pictures below show what is there now. That flimsy piece of metal seen to the left is the new "linear drain." BUT, yesterday, when I removed that piece of metal, the drain itself was filled with FECES! Gross! He gave me some runaround about the cause of it. Not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions as to what he can do to repair this? Should I just hire someone else? Thanks so much. The first pix, taken in our second floor bathroom, shows what the downstairs shower looked like before he replaced the linear drain.
