Is this ottoman to big for this space?

I absolutely loved this ottoman when I saw it in the store but it seems to big for the space.

The 3 of us have 700 sq ft total house space - our daugter is 20 months old.

How does everyone feel about this?

It's quite large but you could make it work. A circular ottoman would fit your space better...

Yes I think it’s too big. I’d do a smaller round ottoman, in a darker color. Your daughter is super cute!

Great for putting your feet up with room for a tray too.

I think it works and nice soft corners are never a bad thing. IMO a round one would still need to large to get your feet up anyway. What is happening in there with the TV mount ? Would the sectional fit in front of the window then the TV could be where the mount is just lower.

Seems like large art would help things to feel more intentional.

Deco we will hide that with real big art

I like the idea of having that window clear to watch the world go by

    Real big art
I want to get a print of white horses or mountains

This is a rental but still will change light fixture

A few ideas if you want to keep the ottoman, sorry I missed the white horses, but there are some horses here for you :-) Rug from rugs USA.

@kindness matters I think if you can send it back and get something with a pattern or darker color, that would be great. Yes, to pulling from color your pillows. Or find some pillows you love with a bit of pattern and pull from those. Keep us posted.

I like the idea of a smaller one rounded
The entire house is 700 sq ft and we are going bare bones. Striving for function

I agree that a round or patterned ottoman would look nice and create better balance, however, I might suggest one with a shelf base so that you have some storage for baskets filled with your little one’s toys, books, puzzles, etc. The baskets will also add some nice texture.

    Good suggestion Sara
The wild animals stuff is everywhere

I can’t wait for this big a$s ottoman into be picked up tomorrow

I didn't think it was too big - just needs a rug for the whole area to ground everything. The way it is now, the ottoman and the couch seem to be floating and big for the room. I like the texture of the ottoman - you just need to bring some balance up and down (floor rug, pillows, pics with weight on the wall) PS I dislike round ottomans - kind of cheesy - so my opinion may be thoroughly biased! Good Luck!

I think the ottoman placed in the picture may be too big for that room. Maybe if you swap it out for two small ottomans and a coffee table it could fit your space accordingly and give you the illusion of more open space.

If you like this idea you can maybe add a Barcelona ottoman and glass table
