I'd go solid, since the rug is so patterned, and since you'll probably put art over the bed.

Looks like you have strong color choices already that don’t necessarily marry well. Do you find yourself leaning toward one in particular? If you are willing to start with a fresh slate, find bedding set you really like, then window dressing, rug and wall color that compliment each other.

Sorry but the drapes do not work with the rug at all and I agree find the bedding then choose all the rest. IMO bedding drives the decor in a bedroom. I d find that rug very busy for a bedroom so keep the bedding simple.

Shift the rug so the bed is centered in the pattern and pull it out just a bit further from the wall. I love the rug, but keep the rest neutral. Use art and accessories to add a bit more.

should i go with blue duvet cover with blue curtains or beige? or should i keep my current linen duvet color goldenrod which is the same color as the silk curtains? I didn't want to put it in the picture because i wanted a different perspective. thanks
