I have never seen a bird of paradise anywhere near 25’ tall I think they would work weel for what you want but maybe not tall enough.

Size. A bird of paradise can reach a height of 5 feet. Its long, thick leaves usually grow to 18 inches long and 6 inches wide, spreading to a width about the same as the height of the plant.

White Bird of Paradise is a different specie, Strelitzia nicolai.

I did not know that , thanks. I think as a privacy thing it might not work as well as something not as tall.

It depends on where plant is located. We have very old couple of them. One on full sun and one in shade. One in shade is very tall, over 25 feet.

I had a White Bird of Paradise along a fence when I lived in Tampa and I'd say it got to around 12' tall. It also make baby Birds that spread around the trunk of the mama plant. It is a beautiful plant. I planted one here in my backyard and it has been growing quite slowly. It took a couple of years to double in size (but it's in mostly shade which has definitely slowed it down).

Thank you all for the input! I am considering other options to create privacy along a narrow pathway. I believe this plant wouldn’t work due to the limited space. It’s a 5 ft wide path on the side of the home.

Look at the different cultivars of Panax, Polyscias guilfoylei. They make a good hedge screen for narrow spaces.
