Chrome will pop, I vote for that. I like brushed gold but not in a white kitchen.

Are you keeping the island pendants? Personally, I love gold hardware in a white kitchen but I would have the pendants complement it. If you're keeping the pendants, I'd go brushed nickel. Pretty kitchen, btw! Bet the after will be beautiful.

With the pendants you have, I would keep the silver tones. I love chrome or polished nickel for the sparkle they add to a room, though the upkeep ( water spotting ) can be more of a cleaning issue.

The easiest to care for is the brushed nickel.

Brushed nickel or chrome , I see no connection to anything gold in the space if you want to know my reason

If I went with gold I would change the pendants. My fear with gold is it will play out and I’ll be replacing faucet and hardware

If you like the pendants than it’s easiest to match them with chrome. Have you looked at doing the pendants one metal and the hardware and faucet another?

Personally I'm a mixed metals kinda gal, however for your space & current fixtures, I'd stay with the silvers. Here's an opportunity to mix your metals by selecting a polished or chrome finish. it will contrast your stainless appliances & bring glimmers of light to your space.

Chrome is a tiny bit dated, and Brushed Nickel is a good choice for today! The upcoming trend will be brass (which I think you mean by gold) - this will be the most contemporary, and maybe will stay in fashion for a longer period of time.

I have chrome faucets and flat black cabinet hardware. I love the gold and wish I could do it in my white kitchen. I see mixing metals is more personal in reflecting style vs matchy matchy. If I could change out my SS sink to white cast iron, I would switch to gold faucet and cabinet hardware, but I’m not ripping the granite out to make that change. My compromise is going to be taking the granite off the island and putting in butcher block island to warm up the kitchen. Good luck with your choice!

Yes I ordered polished nickel because I was concerned chrome would show too many water spots

Crystaldawn, The Polished Nickel will show water spots, but it is a beautiful finish and will only take a quick wipe with a cloth to make it spotless again. The only finished that will not show water spots are the brushed , satin, brushed gold or perhaps bronze finishes. Do not worry about it, I specify Polished Nickel for many of my projects and have never had a client complaint.

I think your kitchen looks gorgeous now; can only imagine when you make the changes. I do like mixed metals, and I guess I am no help because I honestly think you can do anything- obviously the chrome.nickel will work but I think black or brass(gold) would also look absolutely stunning.

If you would like to mix metals, Black cabinet hardware would also look nice with the polished nickel. It is easy to try out a few and see if you like the look...or if you prefer staying with the polished nickel. I think that the polished nickel looks a bit more dressed up... it depends on if you want a bit more of a casual look or not.

I love polished nickel. Here’s the polished nickel faucet you ordered with polished nickel cabinet hardware. You can see that it’s fine with stainless too. I havent had any problems with the polished nickel finish. just wipe with microfiber cloth if you want too. Water spots don’t bother me much. Most of the time I’m not too picky. Finish has held up well.

Ephross made a good suggestion. Maybe trying some darker knobs to see if you actually want to mix metals sounds like sage advice. Everything polished nickel will be dressy and classic. But you initially asked about mixing it up. Worth a try.

Stainless steel, if possible; otherwise, consider silver/chrome or even black. Brass or gold likely would not be a good fit.

I have the exact same faucet....I love it! Because I am a big fan of mixing metals, I chose warm unlaquered brass hardware from Rejuvination. There is a warm quality about the polished nickel that really mixes well with brass finishes.
