I’m having a difficult time picking out pulls in my brand new kitchen

We have some really huge drawers width wise and height wise and also some really tiny drawers. So I thought I would install 18 inch long traditional pulls for my huge drawers because I think it would look nice but they’re really thick and bulky! They are meant for appliances but it was the only ones I could find that weren’t contemporary and were affordable. Is it OK to use huge ones like this? We’re thinking of using 3” T knobs that match these on all of the cabinet doors. Please help! (The wood drawer fronts and doors are being installed within a few days.)

That’s not so, apple_pie_order. It’s way more convenient and ergonomic to have one long pull. Although, there’s no reason to have a fridge door sized pull on a drawer for pots and pans, or whatever is in it.

Here‘s what we put on our largest drawers, that hold heavy pots and pans.

In traditional or transitional styles, big drawers usually take two pulls or knobs, not a gigantic long one.

I agree with Darbuka (and also love the simple but stylish pulls in his/her kitchen). The proposed pulls seem a bit fussy and could become dated quickly.

Hard to tell w/o seeing the cabinets in the kitchen. I agree that they can become dated.

Attaching pictures showing Top Knob in two sizes. First a picture showing a 36” wide pantry and my coffee station which is 26” wide. The pantry has a pull that is 8 1/2” wide while the drawers on the coffee station has 6 3/4” wide pulls. Both are the same pull but sized to fit the width of the cabinet. I also used the 6 3/4” on the upper cabinets. I don’t think you need really large pulls as in the large one you show. Also only one per drawer the correct size is all you need. Stay away from having two on one drawer (just a recommendation).

I have long pulls on my big drawers and really like them. They help the drawer come out easily and only take one hand. It's also a handy spot to hang a towel for quick clean up when cooking.
