I had Jolyene Nicole several years, I always loved the huge beautiful flowers. In downsizing it left my garden though. I love Joan Derifield. Mine has been here a couple of years too, but I think mine is in too much shade. Janice Brown is a pretty one, peren.

John Bassilli is one of my favorites.

I think Janet's Magic looks better in the picture than she does in person.

I really enjoyed Jean Clement last season.

Jason Salter is a cute miniature diploid.

Joan Trundle was new last season.

Jungle Fury bloomed for the first time last season. I was happy with the color and the teeth.

I think Just Another has an awful name. The flower doesn't wow me, but the plant is healty and vigorous.

Love all the pinks. I always do. I think Celeste's shot of Jody Ann is my favorite and for a UF Nan's Jean Clement is eye catching too. Debra: Your Judy's Jewel is one I look forward to seeing also. It is very striking with that edge..........The only "J" I have is Joan Senior, and I'm sure someone else will post it sooner or later. It's an excellent grower for me. I grew Jay Farquhar here and it looked bad in our hot sun or even our part hot sun. Mary's Baby is the only purple/maroon I've tried that looks good to me, so I'll stick with her. ...............Maryl

I agree about Jackie Canner, Jody Ann and John Bassilli. Those 3 really caught my eye. Sherry, I forgot to answer you about Jersey Spider poly. This last year was the 1st time I have ever noticed it to poly, and caught 2. It is a large clump with lots of blooms so maybe I have just missed them.

Debra, it is funny-at least to me-before smart phone days when one could pull it out and look up the plant-relied on the Eureka a lot! I was curious after I wrote this and went back to some old lists-one of the others was one in the Cragmoor series of daylilies and they had labeled it Craig Moore. For at least a year, I had Joy Lane and Craig Moore labeled as such in my garden. Did not really matter to me then-those were the early days!!!!!

Memories of those early daylily growing days. I remember thinking, Okay, I have 2 red daylilies, an orange, a yellow, and sort of a purple (purple d'oro). I won't get any more cause I have all the colors. I don't want to think about how many daylilies I have now, much less the colors!

Yeah, that's the way we started too, but that didn't last long. We now have over 1000 varieties (and more coming this spring).

These Js are really hitting the spot! I will go through later and comment on all of yours when I have more time. Here's mine:

Joan Derifield. It took a couple of years to get going, but now it blooms like crazy.

Joan Senior, my whitest, reliable.

Jolyene Nichole took 3 or 4 years to really get going; I almost got rid of it, but it does fine now. As you can see by the tag it took me awhile to learn to spell it!

Brad, now I am wondering if I should move my Joan. I can't remember if I got mine in spring or fall 2018, but maybe I should leave it where it is. It bloomed ok this past summer. It gets some shade, but at least 6 hours sun. I do love the blooms

Nancy, Joan gets a fair amount of sun and does well. However, it had been getting a lot of shade until I took a tree down in 2018, and it still did well. I know that is not really much of an answer.

Celeste I was able to track down Jewel of the Oasis this past summer/early fall (not easy here in Canada) . Sure hope it looks as lovely as yours

Brad: There's my Joan Senior. It's a good picture of her too. Such a nice form. A few years back she repeated on me 3 times. Never did it before nor since. Still, she blooms for a long time anyway. She gets full, unrelenting sun here and takes it in stride. A true oldie but goldie.................Maryl
