The piece that you have is too small for the space. A piece that is large enough for the space will likely cost a fortune, except for the one posted above. That is a great price. If you want to keep the piece that you currently have then I suggest adding to it with several other pieces of various sizes to create a gallery wall.

I think art would look better. From the toys I see in the photo it appears that you might have a small child in your life. Get a large piece of canvas and some paint in the colors you select and have a child create a masterpiece for you that can be hung behind your sofa.

You don't need to fill a tall wall vertically. Art should be at eye level to look at, not hung high to "fill a space." Your map looks to be hung a bit high--it's usually recommended that the center of the artwork be about 60" above the floor.

I love the idea of child-created art.
