Can you paint the walls? All that white would drive me nutters. If not, go find some bedding of a cheerful color, and add some complimentary artwork - if you can't put holes in the walls, find artwork you can balance up on the dressers.

Start with a beautif comforter and look for shorter, more substant side tables. The skinny ones don’t seem to fit well.

Can you put the bed on the wall to the right of the one with the window?

Yes it actually looks so much better that way but then we wouldnt have a place to put our dressers 😬.

What is the length of that wall and what size bed do you have? Also the width of the dressers?

can you put the bed back against the far back wall? (the empty one) then, put the dresser on the short wall to the left of window. what I would do is get a taller type of dresser chest so that you don't need the two small dresser.

move it there and take a pic for us. (because where it is now just doesn't work)

can you also get a new light?

If nothing else works, I would switch the head of the bed to the dresser wall and put the dressers on the window wall, or one there and one on the other wall if that would work. I think the bed not centered on the window wall is what is especially not visually pleasing.

It looks like the bed and the two narrow night stands would fit on the 11.25' (135") wall and as you say it looks better that way. Then maybe put one dresser against the wall to the left of the window and try leaving the one closest to the door on the other wall where it is. If that doesn't work the second one could be moved in front of the window so the dressers would be at an angle to each other.

Turn the bed. If it's an airbnb, you don't need 2 large dressers in the room, they take up too much space. Free up the window, move the bed, put in lower nightstands that match the height of the mattress. More color in the bedding, on the walls, drapery.

Don’t block the window with the headboard. Put the bed opposite the windows. Buy some new bed coverings (spread, comforter, a pillow or two, a bed skirt) in a nice COLOR. Hang draperies and shades on the window. Add art. Add larger night stands if they fit. The dressers don’t need to be next to each other. Add a comfortable chair if there is space enough.
The current bedding is wrinkly and a sad beige color. It has no weight to keep it in place.

The bed HAS to be on the wall opposite the bedroom door. If you don't have enough room for end tables (they do NOT have to match) then install floating shelves and wall mounted lamps.

The dressers will look great at right angles under the window and on the blank wall. They don't have to actually touch each other, in which case you might have room for a small chair in the corner. Drapes or another attractive type of window covering will transform the space (even just a valance), but consult with a professional because they have ideas we haven't thought about, or look for window covering ideas here. You could just install 3 decorative hooks or drape holders and drape your own fabric to dress up the window a bit for a few dollars. It looks like you like a more traditional style, based on the dressers and bedspread. You don't have to change your bedspread if you like it, IMO. Furniture placement is key to good design and functionality. You have good elements to work with in what you own...your bed is beautiful. A throw rug can add an element of color or sophistication. The paint color is neutral, don't bother painting. The suggestions I've made can be down for very little money, which I like...anyone can design well with money, it's doing it on a tight budget.

I think a new bedspread and art on walls plus plants or a few key display items on dressers will help a ton. It’s a decent room that isn’t complete.

I agree with everyone who is saying to move the bed to the empty wall to the right. If you can find two 27" 3 drawer nightstands, you can use them to replace 1 dresser. Then you can put the remaining dresser on the shorter wall.

Hope your kids are feeling better. It looks so much better! You could look for nightstands on Craigslist, OfferUp or Facebook Marketplace that can be painted to take the place of your other pieces. All you need is a nice piece of art and a few well chosen accessories for the dresser and you can call it good.

MUCH BETTER!!! Now, when you can get some color in there, the high curtains, or drapes, and a nice fancy mirror on the wall. Good job! Found this mirror on craigslist, 65$, spray paint the frame white, or a color to match anything you bring into the room, it would look nice. Just saying, you can find nice on craigslist for not a lot of money. Hope the kids feel better soon, and you get some good rest.

Hey Monica just like you my husband and I rent and we have an odd shaped bedroom too. Our window wall is like yours offset and a pain to work around. One thing you have that I don't is a open wall where you have now moved your dresser. Now being on a budget, I get where you're coming from. Where we live we also have Kijiji besides Craigslist, so if you do, check it out too. Also a good place to go in your community would be second hand shops or flea shops or garage sales, but be picky and if you go to garage sales be prepared to barter the prices down. Most people are happy to work to an agreeable price for both parties, as they get rid of stuff they don't want, and you get what you need. A lot of the time when you go to these places the items may not be perfect, but with a little elbow grease and paint or stain they can be remarkable. The placement of your bed was exactly what I was going to suggest, and it makes the best show of your room. If your landlord will allow you to paint, you can always get paint at a paint store that has already been mixed but in a color someone didn't like after all, and it could be something you might like and you'll get it at a reduced cost. No matter what if you decide to do - paint you can always just paint the wall behind either your bed or behind the dresser as an accent wall or you could get wallpaper and do the same. You can sometimes get wallpaper that is from the year before and is on clearance and also save yourself some money. But if you get wallpaper make sure to make it easy on yourself and don't buy wallpaper that has a pattern you have to match, as it takes more wallpaper, and also makes application harder because you have to match the pattern up (like stripes or plaid, if you get what I'm saying). Also, if you do wallpaper, get the prepasted stuff so all you have to do is put it in a tub to get wet (or use a wallpaper plastic tub - I'm not sure of the name of it it's been a while since I bought mine), book it (which if you've never papered it's folding it a certain way and putting it in a plastic garbage bag for a little bit), then hang. It'll go fast, and if you only do one wall then the job will go fast. Then all you need to do is dress up the window a bit, there's lots of good suggestions here, but with the size of your room I'd go with a swag of fabric or a valance (although they both can look dated if you're not careful). Curtains are timeless and you can match them to your bedspread and pillows. Then all you have to do is get some lamps (I used hanging a pair on the wall that are touch sensitive and plug into the wall, so no having to be put in by an electrician and you can take when you move), they will leave a few holes when you take them down but they save space on your night tables for your alarm clock/radio or whatever. If you have to have storage by the bed, then you could use the same night stands you had before but paint them or stain them to give them more life and just keep the tops with very little on them, ie. your clock and a book(if you read). Now where your dresser is, it needs something above it, so a nice mirror which again you can get at a second hand store/garage sale/craigslist/kijiji. And touch it up with paint on the frame. Depending on the mirror you choose, if you pick one that's quite wide like a rectangle you could even do glass etching on a corner and then a little in the opposite corner (you can do this yourself - there are many ways - and you can pick up supplies at a craft store like I think like maybe JoAnnes'). Then some nice art work (again at the stores I've mentioned) for the other walls. If you still need more storage, then where you have the bit of wall space by the bedroom door, on the now right of your bed, you could put a taller dresser with say 4 or 5 drawers and dress it up to match your other dresser or paint them both. Don't forget accessories on the tops. A jewelry box, a brush/comb set, a little knick knack of somekind like a porcelain bowl and picture(not of people, the kind that holds water) set (if you like country antiques) or actually pictures of family, or a porcelain statue but not a big one just a little thing or fresh flowers or a plant that blooms. The plant will give the room a little more life and make it feel more alive (the pictures of family you could put on your night stands but just one each stand). I could go on, but I think with what we've all said, you have a lot to work with. I'm sure you're feeling a little overwhelmed with all our ideas. I hope your kids are better and you get some rest before tackling anything else. But I would love to see what you do when you get going, or when you feel you're finished. And that's one other thing, whatever you do DON'T over do, as it will take on a cluttered look if you put too much in. Choose wisely and a little will go a long way! Good Luck and have fun with it!!

I’m a huge fan of those Hemnes dressers, so much storage! A quick and easy upgrade is to get new knobs for them. I used Champagne gold knobs on ours and really loved the difference it made. We actually just got rid of ours as there was no space for them in our new condo and man do I miss that height - perfect for folding laundry, changing babies, you name it.

If either of you have allergies, forget about the drapes. I like the new arrangement, and definitely look at second-hand stores or Goodwill for nightstands. Get some color in there, and maybe a plant or two.
