Can we fix what I assume is a problem in the 10‘ living areas?

What problem do you assume?

That the windows and doors are too short In the 10‘ living areas and possibly the 9’ areas.

If we go to 6’ windows and 8’ doors, that fixes my issue with staring at 3’ of drywall above those openings while sitting in my living room. But, in my inexperienced view, it would cause a problem with the header heights when viewed from outdoors.

I'd suggest raising the fascia height if you raise the window/door header height. This shows a 9' ceiling and 8' header height.

How much of that ten feet of space do you plan on occupying?

I think I posted an early version of the floor plan by mistake. I will correct it. The 10’ ceiling height areas are our kitchen, breakfast nook, living room, dining room and entryway.

How are you going to vent your dryer? You have a maximum of 25' run and that's without any turns.

Is there a reason you need three separate eating areas?

And is there a reason you want a house and especially a kitchen that will be dark?

When you enter your master bath do you really want to see the toilet closet first?

Is there a reason there is only a single small window in bedrooms 2 and 3?

Why are there only 2 small windows on either side of the fireplace in the great room?

The higher heights will not fix the lack of light on the inside of the house.

Agree with above - I have 13 windows between great room, dining and kitchen. I wish a had a few more.

Thank you PPF! CP, you bring up valid points. We will check into all of them with builder and designer. They were just working with a design we found online that may need some more tweaks.
