I grew super fantastic in 2014, 2015 & 2018. Its on my "Do Not Grow Again" list. My favorite that I grow every year in NE Texas is Celebrity.

The biggest difference between Celebrity and Super Fantastic is plant growth, Celebrity is a determinate and very popular. Super Fantastic is indeterminate and less popular. Fruit of both are round red and average half pound size. Both VFN.

I haven't tried either of these tomatoes. Every year I try new tomatoes but after discovering 'Sungold' about 25 years ago, nothing I've tried has knocked that particular cherry tomato out of first place. [g]

When I started gardening again a few years ago, Marion was the first one I tried. It produced great in a newly prepared bed. It was a Bonnie Plants small starter seedling from Lowes or HD. Alas, the following years Bonnie didn't deliver any Marions to the stores. I need to get some seeds by mail order one of these years.

I soon found out our local mockingbirds love tomatoes too! I've been growing cherry tomatoes (Black Cherry and Sungold) because the birds don't take every last one. Sometimes when I boil rice or pasta I throw them in (the tomatoes not the birds haha), the skins peel off easily.

I would suggest Marion. It's a pretty hard tomato to beat, and does well in both the SE and the NW. The plant size isn't huge, but it produces well and early in my garden, as well as all-season. I've started Super Fantastic F1 from seed, but I gave the plant away (so, I'm not sure how it performs; the people I gave it to seemed satisfied). Marion germinated very well, too, and the fruits have excellent taste. Not sure how either do in Texas.
