Its beautiful!!

So pretty!

I was on my way to Vallejo a month ago and there was a hill that was full of blooming Aloes. I think they were a regular shmegular Aloe like aborescens, but it was something I’ll never forget. You should have heard me in the car”Holy smokes you’re so beautiful! I wish you were mine. WOWWW you’re amazing!”. I almost stopped to take a pic, but that would have been dangerous considering it was a hill on the side of a freeway.

Our climate is perfect for many Aloe. My Spiral Aloes have been a little struggle, but I think that’s par for the course. There are some big Spiral Aloes in Berkeley.

Jade and Aeoniums do well here too. They too are in bloom now, but you know this I‘m sure.

I know exactly what you're talking 'bout! Still, it's delightful, when there's a skiff of fresh snow on the doorstep this morning, that hills, nay mountains, of Aloes in flower down south are not so far away (at least not South Africa-far away). I'm glad you didn't pull over, but when you can, a hillside of aloes in flower as a photo sounds wonderful anytime, but particularly when there's a skiff of snow on the doorway. Did I mention that? Thanks for the striata pic, too - one of my top 25 (or 50).
