Base cab w/o door for laundry basket storage?

Hi! I’m planning to put some cabinets in my laundry room and I’ve been thinking a lot about laundry basket storage. It seems to me like you could put a base cabinet with a shelf (w/o a door) and that would be perfect for holding two laundry baskets ( one on top, one on bottom). Then it would blend in seamlessly with the other cabinetry in the room. I couldn’t find any pictures that looked like that- is there some reason it wouldn’t work?
