Would you consider changing the floor plan a bit? How about changing out the shower placement with the vanity on the left? You could have a longer and not as deep shower and then have your double vanities on one wall. Keep your water closet exactly as is.

First of all my builder would kill me🤯. But actually that would not have worked because the ceiling is vaulted - U can see the beam centered and the ceiling drops down on the shower and the toilet to make it symmetrical the vault continues in between those two... so it would become a weird lay out dropped on one side... and we were also excited to have our own sides... they are each 6’-10” so decent for single vanity

Is this your home? Are u living with it? I am wondering if there was trim and sconces if it would be less of a trip?!

You have an awkward transition from the vanities to the bay. Any chance of fixing that?

I really like your solution and think it is preferable to two large mirrors facing each other.

Kate E - his sink is actually centered with his mirror My mirror will also be centered w my sink bc my sink unlike his is off to the side offset bc my make up vanity is on one side bc of make up knee space area. Catbuilder - not sure what do you mean by awkward transition? It is a free standing tub centered in the bay window. - the whole room is over 13' wide so the tub does not feel squished...what would you suggest?

Ahh gotcha - even still, I think the staggered mirror solution is your best bet without having to change framing and major changes!

The way it's drawn, the vanity cabinets do not die into the wing walls of the bay. They stick out, creating a small triangle of space. That will look awkward and strange. There should have been enough depth provided so that not only the cabinet would die into the wall, but also the countertop. You say that you're in the middle of construction, so if this is a new build it is something that the architect should have taken into account. What is the architect's solution for this? Is there going to be a filler piece angled back to the bay wall, meaning the countertop will also angle back to the bay wall? Has it been framed yet? Best solution is to fix the framing.

Would angling the mirrors at a slight down angle help?

Catbuilder, it is an old house with existing bay windows... vanities would have had to be very narrow. Regardless, the cabinets are custom pieces of furniture with 8” legs... will not look strange at all... also angle wall would be my worst night mare.... my only issues are with the mirror reflecting mirror which is definitely a real concern.

I have heard angling more could help... will wait to try it once it is a bit more accessible!
