Help. How do I finish my green hex tile backsplash in bathroom?

My hall/boys bath is in underway and tomorrow the navy vanity with white top gets installed. I chose a Barcelona Hexagon in glossy green for the backsplash. The vanity sits in an alcove so backsplash will wrap around 3 sides.

I cannot begin to think of a good trim piece for this tile.

Should I just not have one and let them transition onto the wall like this?

I found a couple HOUZZ pics showing penny backsplash.

The top one looks like a marble pencil liner. Can’t tell what the bottom one is.

You could use a schluter edge.

Schluter in whatever finish your faucets are in. Do not do the raw edge.

Are you keeping the 4” white splash shown in your picture?

My first suggestion is Schluter ttrim as well. That would involve cutting hex tile but that's the only way to achieve a flat edge.

Unfortunately the vanity top does have a low profile backsplash which I only realized after ordering. I did order the tile and thought I would see how it looks behind it and if too weird just return. I will def look into Schluter if I do go with one.

It is going to look odd with the low profile backsplash.

The mirrors will have to be hung rather high in oder not to look odd. (The hex shape with the point visually requires that the mirrors be hung higher than a rectangular mirror would be.

Best to plan an entire bathroom before taking steps.

I also will add that, while you may love the green and blue now, will you in a few years? If you like the idea of adding green, I recommend doing it with accents. (see 2nd photo). Ditto for the navy vanity. (Navy will be out in a couple of years and your space will look dated). Althogh the navy feels more neutral than the green.

Look at this photo below. This is about the height you will need to hang the mirrors for them to look good. If you add the green, not only will it look awkard, you are talking hanging themose mirrors really high.

If the vanity has a small backsplash, the tiles seem odd to me. I love them (green penny tiles!) but they don’t seem right to my eye. (I’m. It a pro.)

I would definitely remove the backsplash if you are using the tile and go with a Schluter edge. I do like it without the tile though, maybe paint the walls green instead.

Yes, remove the backsplash and get trim for it like the photo above. Then it will be charming - and unique.
