Paint Color

My living room is the attached Kangaroo color. Anyone with a professional opinion think this Bay Laurel green color complements it for the entrance of the house?

    Look at BM healing aloe. This may be perfect for with your floors. I have used this a few times when I don’t know whether to go blue or green. It is a chameleon color...sometimes aquamarine, or celadon or a watery blue.
    Look at the whole strip and you’ll see what I mean. The darkest color on the strip, quarry rock, would make a great color for a fabric with the kangaroo.

      The deepest tone - yes, the palest tone, no. The mid-tone, bleh - not enough contrast/ fighting undertones.

      do you think the darkest color is going to be very dark for a not so big foyer?

      I like a darker color for a foyer - know you would like the darker one in place. Test it and see what you think - usually foyers have terrific lighting and that makes a good difference.

      I think the green paint would clash with the green of the tile. I would stick with the same brown color you have in the living room or a lighter shade of it and decorate with green accents to tie in the green floors. I would also choose another accent color for decor to spice it up.

      Here is your choice and here is mine.

      This is BM dill weed. Your choice may be too blue. Hard to tell from a monitor.

      Kangaroo has a pinky undertone.

      I'm no professional so I have a hard time understanding how colors that are not in the same family can match. As the floor is green and theres no blue in it, do you still think I can do this healing aloe?

      Because this color can change I think it would be worth a try. Often you can bogged down trying to “match”. As I suggested, go get the entire strip, 1562-1568 and put it on the floor and see how you like it.

      Also, pick up 1492-1498, targeting Vale Mist and 477 −483, targeting Dill Weed.

      But, I bet, from my monitor, Healing Aloe will be the one.

      I was wondering about Kangaroo in the living room. I have that color in my dining room and am thinking about taking it into the living room. I am concerned it might be to dark. How does it work in yours?

      I'm really happy with the color in both living and dining room but it really depends on your lighting.

      Thanks for your quick response. We do have a cathedral ceiling in the living room with a lot of light so I'm thinking it would work. Decisions!

      Avoid the green - let the floor do that part. Pick up the Kangaroo color strip card and work a shade from it into your foyer area. Light spaces can take darker colors and vice versa.
