Not over yet .......

The party is not over yet. We are soon to be over the alphabet but do not despair. We still have what I fondly call categories, where we put this all together. Right after z we will be starting with minis.

After this I think I may be out of jokes. Have a great day!!

You’ve had some great jokes this year, Paula! I’ve had some real belly laughs and so has DH when I show him the best ones! Thank you!

Thanks from me too Paula! This was my first year! So many people know I am waiting on a hip replacement in April so I have not really been able to do stuff. The alphabet has kept me having fun. However, I wonder if anyone else has had arms or hand joints and tendons flare up like me from overuse? Or am I the only person with a train wreck for a body? :-)

    How about a streaked category?

Paula..thanks for posting the alphabet :-) winter bums me out and the alphabet perks me up!..loved the jokes..they were great..I'll save jokes if I see a good one..how about a Large ( or Big or Giants) category?..or Wavy (Ruffled or Piecrust) edges?..

djacobz..you're not alone..I have aches and pains..but I'm the only one in my cul de sac without a knee, shoulder or hip surgery..2 of them aren't gardeners yet still had surgery..one of those 2 had hip surgery and bounced back quick..good luck with yours :-)

Paula, I sure have been enjoying the alphabet this year. How about a post for upright hostas?

Oooh, I love the uprights!! My absolute favorite (feels like I say that a lot, insert quizzical face emoji)

djacobz, you’re definitely not alone! My arthritis has gotten much worse the last couple of years. I’m only 49 (hahahahaha, I remember when I thought thirty was old and now I say something only 49)

For me it’s the small hand motions that are the worst; holding a book, typing on this damn phone, weeding, heck even something as simple as folding laundry can catch me unawares if I’m not careful.

So far I try to do everything in increments and not let if affect my love of gardening. It really is frustrating when those weeds taunt me though!!!

I keep rearranging things in my kitchen..we're both tall and had things higher up than most people..it hurts a little to reach up now so I'm lowering things lol..

Oursteelers, I have a really nice book, tablet, phone, magazine holder called “ Flippy” which helps a lot. I am just doing too much at one time. I understand the age thing....now I say, “the elderly or old people” and go, “wait, that’s me......no I’m only 66! :-D Here’s a photo of the holder.

nicholsworth, everyone I have talked to, tells me that it was an easy recovery so I will be looking forward to it.

I’m sorry y’all are all hurting so bad. Please try a chiropractor, osteopath, rolfer, physical therapist or massage therapist before you opt for surgery. Maybe you’ll still need surgery, but at least you tried the less invasive stuff first, and sometimes it works and the surgery is not required.

Thanks zkathy. I have already done PT and I currently do receive treatment from a myofascial release therapist. But I am bone on bone and the head of my femur is misshapen now, so for me surgery is needed. But I also totally agree that less invasive treatment is the way to start. PT with a good therapist is often all that is needed.

Thanks, Paula, it’s been a wonderful distraction from winter. I hope everyone’s aches improve and surgery is a breeze. I’ve been told by several that hip replacement is much easier to recoup from than a knee. I will be peeking in everyday and hope those nasty hail storms stay away so I can participate more next year.
