I agree that the fixture in your living room needs to be changed. It is a semi-flush by the way. It is too plain and tailored for the look to work with your kitchen/dining area fixtures. And yes, you could move one of those into the living room as suggested above. If you are trying to avoid refinishing your dining area ceiling (which would be the case if you went with a single fixture there, the multi-pendant balanced by a single, but related pendant would do the trick.

Thank you! Yes our ceilings are plaster and we put 2 lights over the “island” because there was already 1 existing hole off-center, so we just added a second hole to avoid having to redo the ceiling...so the 2 kitchen lights will definitely have to stay!

To make your LR look a bit more relaxed pull everything away from the walls just a bit more.

well just an fyi, if this is an issue in another area, you can just swag the light fixture over,, which is what i would do above and just put a white cap on the outlet you dont need. Please try to fix the fixture in the dining room that is hanging wrong... You have a beautiful home, so the lighting will really be the part that stands out if its not all the way right.
