If you're going to do all of that to tack onto a cute old house, why not just build one from scratch somewhere else and let the old house shine as it was originally intended. I live in something similar and personally do not like the looks of the additions at all!

Sorry, I'm afraid I don't see the expansion as a complementary addition to the home. At most, mirroring what is already there to the other side with the verandah continuing around would be more complimentary.

I agree, you are better off just building a house you like from scratch than attempting this. Not to mention, it will likely be cheaper

I would extend the wrap around porch to wrap all the way around to a duplicate 2-story addition on the left side that matches the one on the right. Any other square footage should be added in the rear where it doesn't ruin the curb appeal of the original home.

Looks like you added 3 cottages to a house for I don’t know what. I think they need a different architect to be honest. I have looked at your page and there is not one house that makes me want to hire you. If the client wants a modern house then they should go shopping and find oneflattening a roog does not a modern house appear
