Crape Myrtle trunks...

Sorry it's hard to see what's going on in these photos. It's Crepe Myrtle that has been neglected for a long time. Good thing these trees are tough. I gave it a decent pruning (will go back to clean up some nubs etc) but wonder what to do about these particular two trunks slightly touching on the right. I don't know which to remove and hesitant to remove either because the tree is already imbalanced with lots of dead/missing trunks on the right side. Maybe it can wait until next winter? Also the crotch is a mess especially on the front right, missing lots of trunks. I was just too tired to clean it up a bit and also afraid I'd cause more damage in a tight area with my hand saw. Maybe this type of tree is so tough I can leave that be too?
