logic of putting this sink so close to the built ins.

I am wondering why the sink was placed so close to the drawers so that you apparently can't open 2 of them. I am sure there were reasons why it was placed there instead of having the sink in middle of builtins. It is a lovely room.

This was the original configuration. The client wanted to replace the old fixture but did not want to move the plumbing line. Also pulled out the tub and added a shower on the other side of the sink which is not in the photo.

That configuration is actually quite interesting. The top drawer looks like it might come out all the way, and could hold hand towels, to wash or dry your face. The soap on the left-hand side of the sink, makes me rule this out, but it looks like there may be enough room in the bottom drawer next to the sink to tilt out and hold soaps, or other things.
