The fuse is there to protect the equipment and the structure.

If you don't use the proper fuse, damage along with fire hazard is the likely result.

The reason is, that a fuse that has a higher rating won't blow if there is a problem.

Wires melt and causes the potential for fire. First the equipment goes, then the structure -- if the fire becomes significant enough to catch the surroundings on fire.

On top of this, the fuse blew for a reason. If you don't determine why it blew then no, it's not likely to work.

Most homes in the USA are worth more than $100,000 - the biggest investment you will make in your lifetime that 'appreciates', but only if you take care of it properly.

You should always use the same size fuse you are replacing. I believe Amazon and Grainger both have the fuse you described.

The question is why did the fuse blow? It could be a sign of a problem. If that is the case your new fuse may also blow after you install it.

A 3 2/10 fuse is rated at 3.2 Amps. Since a 15 Amp fuse allows 4.69 times the amperage before “blowing”, it is almost certain to allow a very dangerous situation on the circuit, likely damaging the wires and equipment, at a minimum. Please don’t.
