I’m assuming you already follow a whole grain, plant based diet, don’t smoke or do drugs, aren’t exposed to radiation through your work and get regular exercise? I ask bc if you’re going to get cancer, you aren’t going to get it from your sofa. Address the low hanging fruit first.

David Adams - if you are serious about this, you should probably find a manufacturer which makes furniture entirely without materials containing toxins. If you buy the Lazy-boy with the least toxic upholstery, you still will have the petrochemical polyurethane foams that fill the seat and back cushion, and the various furniture glues that contain toxic components as well. You need to search online to find furniture makers who do not use these things. Otherwise it’s kind of pointless just to find the least toxic upholstery and not consider what the chair is otherwise made of.

Also, I doubt if any of the materials you’ve named can be categorized as a low toxin material by any stretch. You need to go to leather (treated with environmentally friendly dyes) or organic fabric. If you are serious about this.

You folks ever considered natural fabrics? A wool/cotton/linen blend has zero toxins, wears like iron, but you'll have to pay more for it. All the fabrics on upholstery that I have in my own home are natural fabrics, because they are superior to man-made ones in all respects.
