Nice rooms.

If you must have that leaning mirror in the space, try moving it to the right. It looks squished in the space you have it.

Thank you. I dont have to have the mirror in that area. I moved it to the other side and posted a pic but I’m not crazy about it over there either. I just can’t figure out what to do with this space to keep it where it feels “separate” from the living area.

The sofa with its back to the table is doing a nice job of separating the spaces.

what a great space, love the shiplap and look the two rooms. I agree that I would find a different place for the mirror. that said, you could just leave both areas empty. the shiplap offers texture and visual appeal. another idea is to put one large piece of vertical art on the right. wouldnt put anything on the wall to the left of the window... is there some type of art that you like?

Architctual details nailed it! I’d love advice from you on my post architectural Designs! https://www.houzz.com/discussions/5865570/help-me-break-up-this-sea-of-beige

I really like what AD did. Although I would not put a plant in the corner.

Here are some other options.

1. Hang two sconces on either side of the drapes and extend the shelf to the left almost to the back of the sofa. The sconces will bring the eye up and coordinate with the chandelier (which I think could also be larger and hung a bit lower.) Remove the plant.

2. Sconces and put a floor lamp with a large shade between the two sofa ends.

3. Two tall plants on either side of the drapes and a tall table lamp with large shade on a square end table between the two sofa ends.

Beautiful home!
