Gutters on a house under the trees are nothing but a headache with cleaning them all the time. I would have one over the entrance, remove the rest and create a system on the ground to pull the water away from the home.

Thanks, Beverly! I didn't realize that was an option. I have been cleaning out the gutters myself--about four times in the last year--so it would be nice not to have to do that.

We have the same issue at our home but decided to go with proper gutters but with a system that lets the water drain but keeps the leaves out of the gutter on a dry day the leaf blower blows the leaves away.

Before you do away with gutters, check with your local building code authority. In my area gutters are a requirement at almost all roof edges with few exceptions. In addition, make sure you have a proper in-ground system and proper ground slope to drain water away from the perimeter of the foundation regardless of how much or little gutter system you have.

I‘m just over the border in Lawrence, Kansas, and am suspecting I do in fact need gutters. Am thinking I might be overthinking the half rounds and aesthetics in general and should just go with basic k style gutters that match the roof and get screen covers to help with the leaf debris. Had just been worried they wouldn’t be effective.

Half rounds are nice with some styles of houses, but I don’t think they would add anything to your nice house. You will be fine using K style.

We have Leaf-Guard gutters - no more gutter cleaning - still going good at 16 years.

I think half-rounds would be nice as far as appearance with your home.
