I have seen them hung on the wall with the bottom against the wall as shelving for pictures, books, etc. You could hang them in both directions and at different heights on one wall. Could be very cool.

Or build a steel rack that uses the crates as drawers..super industrial style.

You could clean them up, paint a design on them, put a liner in them and use them as planter boxes.

What a great find! It looks like you may have to paint or at least sand them a bit. I've seen similar ones attached to an exterior wall, lined with plastic and used as an herb garden.
