Raise temp of the thermostat. Newer systems often times remove humidity much better than the older systems. This will cause temperatures you were accustomed with before, to be much too cold.

Try 78 for a time, if that turns out to be too warm then lower it a degree. Repeat this process until you find your comfort zone.

Presumably heating is what you're running this time of year, not cooling? Or are you located somewhere that's hot in February?

You say that you wake up "freezing" so presumably that means your bedroom is too cold. Is the rest of the house too cold or only the bedroom? Is the thermostat in or directly outside the bedroom, or located somewhere further away?

The thermostat of course is supposed to turn the unit on and off to maintain the set temperature. If you suspect that the thermostat is malfunctioning, then get a separate thermometer and place it at the thermostat to directly monitor what's happening with the temperature. Maybe place a 2nd thermometer in your bedroom to monitor the temperature there.

Is the new system a heat pump? Heat pumps have higher airflow rates and lower output temperatures for heating than gas or electric heating element furnaces.

That's the outside AC unit. Did you get the inside unit (furnace/air handler) replaced also?

Well, that's a builder grade outside condenser so I expect you got a builder grade inside air handler (would help to have the product number of the inside unit). The have more limited speed settings and may be set too high (speed) - especially if its oversized relative to your ductwork - and it's cold because of the draft its creating. I'd get the guy who installed it to come back and try to resolve your concerns.
