How do I rearrange my photos?

I'm having a problem figuring out how to rearrange my photos in a different order than they were uploaded in. I'm sure it's a simple solution, but I'm just having an issue figuring it out.

Hello! Are you referring to your Project photos? If you select a Project, click the Edit button at the top of the page. From there you can click and drag photos to your desired location.

Is this supposed to work still? I can't drag-and-drop or find any other way to re-sort my uploaded project photos.

    It should work, yes.

If you go to your project and click Edit, you can move them around. Is this not working for you? If not, please shoot us a message through support.houzz.com with some details about your browser, the project name and what is happening and we can take a look. Thanks!

Dave.... unfortunately, they purposely removed that very useful function with the last update.

Argh! Glad to find this, but not the answer I was hoping for. This makes Houzz much less useful for my project and for working with my architect.

Glad to know I'm not the only one! I have a support ticket in but haven't gotten an answer yet. It's so frustrating they made this change. However, you CAN still reorder the photos on a touch screen device by manually dragging and dropping them. Everyone else is out of luck, I guess.

Blessing....I am on an iPad, and I cannot rearrange photos in any ideabook.

Nidnay, on my iPad when I press on a photo for about a second, it allows me to drag it around. I'm not sure if this is different for other models.

A couple other observations: The Projects category didn't get the same update. I can still rearrange the photos on a laptop like before. So this only seems to affect the Ideabooks.

Also, when you save/copy a photo from one Ideabook to another, it looses the text description that was with it. And there is no longer a breadcrumb link at the top to go back to the main Ideabooks page, which it had before.

Everything about this update is wrong!

Blessing.....I’m on an iPad Pro. I used to be able to move the photos the way you are describing here, but since the latest update that is no longer possible (cannot do it on the iPhone either). Are you sure your iPad updated the latest version of Houzz? Emily told me [here[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/missing-bookmark-dilemmas-dsvw-vd~5033230) that that feature had been done away with, so I don’t quite understand how you can still rearrange photos in your ideabooks.

Well, as of today I can no longer move photos on the iPad like I used to. I must've gotten a delayed update or something. Also, all those bulk editing functions we had before are gone. Geez, thanks Houzz!

Response I got from support doesn't give me much hope that this function will be back soon.

HI there, Our team is aware of the frustration of missing some of these organizational tools and they are working on something to help replace them. Apologies! I miss them too!

Thanks for the follow up, Emily. Glad to know this is being addressed.

This is SO frustrating. I agree with comments above that losing the "edit" function to rearrange the order of photos in an Ideabook is a MAJOR shortcoming of the update. HOUZZ: Please reestablish the "Edit" function!

    It's back! Yahoo!

Unfortunately, it’s not back for those of us on mobile devices.

Ah. Hopefully the next update. I guess it was lucky that I checked from my laptop again.

Thankfully the drag and drop on a desktop appears to be back. I had to click and hold for a second or two then you could see the photo wiggle a little so i knew i could move it. Yea! Order is restored. :)
