I bought an awesome chair at a Restore for 40 bucks. We noticed a perfume odor but it wasn’t too bad and the chair was in great shape, no rips or worn spots, just super nice.

Got it home and oh my goodness...just overpowering perfume smell, especially on one arm. I have tried all the tricks from baking soda to vinegar to odor sprays and potions and home remedies and this smell is here to stay.

The plan was to reupholster this chair but before I go purchase expensive fabric, I’m thinking the smell will just penetrate through...should I just ditch it or does anyone have any ideas? Is there a fabric I might put on first that would seal the smell?
