My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Where are soap dispensers?

Looks nice, but not realistic. Where are the soap dispensers?

    If you are one that doesn't like the clutter of having multiple bottles on the counter, I'd suggest adding a soap dispenser, but I couldn't imagine adding 2 in-counter dispensers. That would be overdoing it and would be confusing as well. I'd suggest keeping hand soap in a nice looking countertop dispenser so as to not confuse it with the dish soap. As for realism, this is definitely a hardworking and incredibly functional kitchen. Most professional photos of spaces such as these clear any visual clutter so as to not distract the viewer's eye from the overall design.     I don't know of any real kitchen that doesn't have something by the sink. It's just not practical. Sometimes - we just have to use our imaginations to envision how we are going to be using the space in our own homes. Clearing the clutter in the photos allows the viewer to see the space and imagine their own items in it. I hope this helps. Best of luck with your project.       We put the soap dispenser away under the sink for the photo shoot. The homeowners opted for one that does not require a hole in the counter top.

      Thanks. I guess I would love kitchen photos that are more realistic to how they will actually be used. A kitchen sink needs at least two soap dispensers -- one for dishes one for hands. We will be putting in two sinks on a 16' soapstone and black walnut island. We are using Brizo Litz faucets. and I am trying to figure out how to handle things like soap dispensers without creating clutter.

      This kitchen is just perfect. You have retained the integrity of an old house kitchen but made it so fresh. Genius move on taking down that wall and extending the island into the dining room. All those complaining about the empty counters…I hate cluttered counters! My kitchen gets heavy use but everything gets put away.

      @Megan Clower - nope! We didn't do anything special to the paint. I promise! Light changes everything and on certain days, it does appear different than others. It's a gorgeous color. I recommend seeing large samples of different colors in your own space at different times of the day to see how they react to your light. Best of luck!
