A little hard to tell from the single photo, but agree the window looks a little stark. Perhaps a shade with some texture. Also consider an additional hall chandelier (assuming there is already one nearer the door). Maybe a runner? Could you also post a photo looking the other direction back toward the door?

Do you have any other window treatments in the room with the bare window?

I don’t love the rug and bench, it feels a bit crowded. Put the bench over on the staircase wall, remove the rug, and see if the entry feels more open. If it works, maybe do a table there for keys, packages, etc. And some pretty curtains on the window will draw the eye in.

I would put a medium tall plant next to the window to soften it a bit, a runner rug as already suggested and move the mirror to the left wall of the foyer. I'd hang art where the mirror currently is instead and move your bench below it as suggested.

A long swag valance over white white mini blinds for the window would be worth considering.

Remove the chair next to the window. It looks like a chair for timeouts or something all alone by itself. I don't think anything is particularly wrong with the view. If you wanted to soften the wall, you could add curtains around the window. You could also add a console table behind the sofa back and a runner along the floor.
