Not in my experience. I've grown 1015y's for at least the last 10 years and they've always stood erect until mature. I'm pretty sure I've always planted Dixondale brand plants bought from a local nursery.

Interesting. This is the same bed I always plant onions in, and there has been plenty of water and fertilizer. The plants don't look unhealthy, just kinda flopped over. Each plant has seven to eight lush green stalks. It's as if the stalks just aren't quite as strong as they usually are. These are also Dixondale plants bought from a local nursery. I'm not really that worried about them, but it is a little unusual. I'm used to more verticality.
