Actually I stopped my JM collection at 50 last fall. I haven’t bought one since. I’m not promising anything with my JMs :)

I just gave away 2 avocado trees to my son in law and replacing them with 3 new varieties:)

Here is a 2 year old video which I’m updating in April when all my Japanese Maples are all leafed out. I have around 45 different varieties now in my back yard

We have to be pretty close to year round fruit. In Jan/Feb we have oranges and white sapote, as well as the limes & lemons we get all year. In Mar/April we have blueberries, then we have berries (blackberry, ollalie, boysen, raspberry) followed by nectarines, then plums, then grapes. In the fall we have apples and pears, then guavas, pomegranates and mandarins.

I found a Reed avocado tree which I have been looking for a while now at my local lowes for only $26. it is suppose to be one of the most heat tolerant and productive trees for the central valley. I went there looking for dish soap (out of stock) and looked through the fruit tree area and struck gold !!!

We went to Costco yesterday and noticed that they had large citrus trees for $24. A great deal for anyone looking to add a tree.

Glad you found your avocado. I grew up with an enormous avocado tree in the back yard and my mother put avocado on everything. As an adult I just can't eat it, so we have never had one. They were unusual avocados, they were completely round, not the usual shape and the tree was huge, unlike avocados I have seen in other places. I remember strangers knocking on our door and my mother giving bags of avocados away.

Lynda the Reed is also round the size of a softball. I know they can reach 37 feet.

That sounds about right - it really was massive and prolific.
