Badly built shower insert needs trim!

A friend just finished building a bathroom for us. Though most of it looks great, he did a terrible job with the shower insert. He didn't use the trim pieces that you're supposed to install when gluing tile, and as a result, the unfinished edges are exposed and rough-looking (see photos).

We've experimented with a white plastic L-shaped corner cover (shown in two of the photos), but would like to find a brushed aluminum corner cover instead, as the tiles are a pale grey and the fixtures are brushed nickel. Apologies for the grout not yet polished off the tile surface.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks!
