So last year i think i may have identified what this flowering perennial was but i never wrote it down so now i'm going to ask some experts...

This is a 3 petal striking blue perennial that grows sort of like day lilies (unless the previous owner let it go, as it appears to be a theme we are finding with ALL the landscaping..LOL!) That is last years foliage with new growth ...
