Lovely dining space! The navy wall is such a great color and looks nice with your table. I like the cabinet from Crate and Barrel, but I do think it is too dark against the navy wall. Perhaps you might consider the white one, or one that matches the wood tone of the table? If not, is there another area in the dining room that the cabinet could go?

I think the cabinet could potentially work if the painting you have is light enough. Do you have an image of the painting that you could share?

Match the wood tone of the table as Fuse suggestions. It will really stand out and connect to the table. Do consider a buffet table or cabinet, though, which gives you more function than shelves and that "dining room feeling." You might find something beautiful on Craigslist for a song under "sideboard" "buffet table."

It is on the darker side, but you could have it framed with a large white mat to help offset it from the navy wall. Is the black cabinet returnable? It could potentially work there, but I would suggest only ordering it if you can return it.

Ya I can return the cabinet if needed. Also white mat is a good idea, it’s from minted.com so I’m sure I should be able to do that.

Both of those options are great—keep in mind that an option like the second one is great for storage if you have extra plates, holiday plates, etc.

just search consoles or buffets for a piece like she has. you can find them at all price points. Wayfair should have tons of them. (check craigslist too for mcm style buffets)

Or you can use the IKEA Besta series, make the cabinet any length and then use the glass doors on the face. Much cheaper this way.

Unless you really want to display items in a sideboard, I think something like this cabinet would stand out nicely against the blue wall. Your table is so beautiful . I would try to incorporate something that is a bit more organic with wood.
