Love the tile.

Those knobs look like gunk collectors, particularly in a laundry/mud room. Every dirty, muddy hand is going to fill those holes. Maybe you can find something the same color and material without the holes.

Go with a faux concrete look in a medium gray. Caesarstone, Silestone, Dekton all have great options, depending on your price point.

jck910, we have Cambria in our kitchen and LOVE it! We visited one of their showrooms recently and were leaning towards a dark gray with little (very little) veining, but I can't remember the name of it. I like the simplicity of those that you've shared...the tile is busy enough. Thanks!

Thanks, latifolia! We love the tile, as well. I didn't consider the possibility of the knobs being gunk collectors and we've already purchased and installed them. However, I don't know if it will really be an issue. It isn't used as a mudroom really...the pantry is in there, but we don't really have any kiddos - our youngest is 17, I'm the only one that does laundry, and it really doesn't get much use other than that. Crossing my fingers that they don't become gunk collectors :)

Hi Sabrina Alfin Interiors, I think we are leaning towards more of a medium/dark gray; however, we need to 'dress' it up a little. The room is off of our kitchen and the large quartz island is Cambria Minera...sparkle quartz.

I like that gray sparkle quartz. I've seen it in person and it's beautiful.

try and find a remnant if you don't need that much. if not, look for pre-fab countertops. you can buy a 6' or 8' long piece for under 500. then just get someone to cut it for you

this is a porcelain tile that looks like the cement. easier to care for.

they also have a quartz slab that looks like real concrete.

It depends on your flooring and whether you want the room to look larger. If your floor is dark then choosing a lighter countertop would help make the room feel larger. If you’re flooring is darker, and you choose a dark counter along with the darker backsplash it might make the room feel darker and smaller. If the room has a lot of natural light you can get away with dark floors and counters. Just an idea to keep in mind.
