You might want to consider something you're sure you'd be catching your foot on the leg -- perhaps something attached to the wall or a pedestal table. What do you want to put on it? A wall hung lamp might be better than a lamp in a small space in a high traffic area. How much room is there around where you want the table? more pics?

Beth that is exactly what I’m looking for the issue is that the space is very small.. maximum 26”wide for a table! I don’t necessarily NEED to put a table there I just wanted to but cannot find one! It’s been 2 quarantined days worth of searching.

I think a floating shelf would work fine. just search 'floating shelf for entry way' and you should see plenty of ideas. very simple to make yourself too. just get some iron brackets and attach to the wall studs. heck, you could even get a nice marble shelf. Cost Plus has some w/gold brackets.

No, there’s really not a foyer it’s too small of an area

Keep it Simple

I have seen similar spaces that looked nice with a bookcase or wardrobe type piece of furniture perpendicular to the wall, helping to define the area as a foyer/entry. Whether or not this works depends on dimensions and the use of the related space.

I'm confused - do you need for practical reasons a space to rest things near the front door? If so, I would do a floating shelf. If not, I would opt to leave the space free of table or a shelf.
