Ha ha. Everything will be fine. The cosmos will not overrun the neighborhood. If you are lucky there will be sprinkles of color in the hood this year.

Throwing cosmos seed into someone's yard is better than throwing grass seed into their garden -- as some workers did to me once! :p

LOL!! You are actually following in some significant footsteps of other gardeners that distributed plants or seeds across gardens unbeknownst to their owners (John Chapman, aka Johnny Appleseed, Ellen Willmott, etc).

Some seed will come up; some will not. Those in grassy areas will probably just get mown (or treated as a weed) before they get large enough to flower.

I would not worry about it. I've done some crazy things in that state of mind, but I have never thrown seeds around. At least we know you are a happy drunk!

Love the "True Confessions" aspect of this post. It is much better than giving someone an unasked-for pet dog as a surprise birthday present.

Lol omg I’m so glad it will all work out. I’m not kidding I went out with a pocket full.

Your not alone I also have a bag full of cosmos seed. At the end of the lane on one side is about 4 ft deep of weeds and then woods start for about 300 ft length of the lane I plan on throwing them there this spring hoping they take. Last year I threw moonflower seeds and some of them took.

I am tempted to do this in my neighborhood!

I think I need to drink a bit more. I’ve never been far enough gone to actually act on such reasonable impulses. I agree with starting a movement!!! I also have a huge bag of cosmos seeds. The seeds are so fun and easy to collect. I hope to plant mine in my own yard and at work.
