Depends on how large the kitchen is, how many slabs you'll need, and whether those slabs will have noticeable seams. If you think you'll have several noticeable seams, I'd go with the least veiny version so the match-up will be easier.

Are your cabinets installed yet? Bring them into your kitchen and see them with the cabinets. We thought we wanted hanstone chantilly, that was our top contender, but ended up looking dingy against our cabinets (top white and lowers navy). Went with a different brand that had a true white background that looked much better with our cabinets and lighting/natural light.

I chose Tranquility because it seemed more white than most quartz choices. It looks great with the white cabinets but not a complete match.

Make sure you go see the big slab too at the yard/store.

Thank you all for the great info. I really appreciate it. The cabinets were just sent to maker so I have some time. The seam comment is something I hadn’t thought of so less veining is a really good point. Is the veining in Chantilly almost blueish Gray? Looking for a little warmer Gray.

Keep the counter white to agree with the trim white....you don’t want the whites to clash, and you don’t want one bright white and one creamy white. The veining of the quartz will either speak to the floor or the cabinets.

@itsourcasa which counter top did you end up going with? I’ve also been looking at the Hanstone chantilly but not sure now with my white cabinets and dark grey island. Help please!! Really want a true white counter with some light grey veining.

@Car Ter we chose Santamargherita Vermont so happy with it, zero issues, great color.

Our home has Chantily with very white counters. The countertop is not as light as the cabinets but we do like it!

I went with Yorkville and absolutely love it!

In doing a white kitchen. We went down the road of trying to match countertops to our bright white cabinets. Just saying matching whites up will drive you to the cuckoo house. Then we moved to trying to keep the white shades in the same temperature, all warms or all cools. That’s another road to the cuckoo house. I assumed bc our cabinets were bright white that they were cool. But keep in mind a dab of yellow (warm) can cause whites to be brighter. I still have no idea what temp my cabinets are.. they don’t have a blue undertone so I will lean to the neutral /warm side. White countertops that are marble looking will lean warm with beige or ivory undertones. Which is why they started coming out with the whiter quartz which are beautiful but look more like art pieces than natural stone. They are still very nice. But it is really hard to find nice gray veining in bright whites without a lot of gold or a lot of blue leans in the veining. So, we are about at the point of choosing between Yorkville and Montauk (even though Chantilly is a closer but not exact match to cabinets. We figure having different shades of white to a white kitchen may not be a terrible thing. It could add interest and dimension. Then you have to find the right backsplash to tie them together. One comfort is under cabinet lighting really brightens up the creamy white countertops and reduces the margin for error. Will likely try to add dimension or pattern to to the backsplash to bring interest to that white. I’m guessing the Yorkville looks great and is a good mix between modern and natural stone look. Montauk is one of the more natural looking quartz options but that comes with a pearl base and ivory marbling - so not actually white. We gave up trying to match and are instead trying to coordinate shades of white for interest along with texture, pattern or movement in the backsplash. I keep wondering if I am missing something bc everyone talks about trying to match up whites which seems impossible to me. We gave up on that.
