The hearts are totally free motion. The straight lines through the colored blocks and the flower is a free motion foot with rulers. I bought a Janome set of rulers. They are expensive, but I plan on using them a lot. It can be a little hard with my regular machine. I am on the lookout for a sit down quilting machine, used. Here's a video showing using the rulers.

Well, I think it is beautiful. Sometimes plan B (or sometimes C) is the best. The quilting is beautiful.

Thank you, ladies. I always think about the kids looking at all the different prints and talking about them, maybe making up stories, like the Counterpane Fairy.
