OLLD 8/1

Well it has been a stressful day for me so far. The traffic was horrendous, their was no carpool lane. What is on everyone's agenda today? For me it is intern and school. As of today I have a week left of school and intern and then a three weeks break.

Kd - when I was a kid and we could buy mixed bags of chocolates for a penny, those buds were very popular. There was also a milk one and a flat round chocolate covered with hundreds and thousands called Freckles and each bag also contained a musk stick - yum, now I am drooling. .

Linda I love the honey covered nuts, the only thing I fear is my teeth. They are not for biting on. Toblerone are good too and I love the Lindt balls - let them melt in your mouth till the filling oozes out.

I think I need to visit the Chicken Death Room, this chocolate is all getting too much for me.

David -- it's going to be great! I can see the direction you're heading and that space lends itself perfectly to your industrial/eclectic vision... I can picture it in my head, can't wait to see how it turns out and hope you post pictures as you go. Very exciting! And agreed..... no revere pewter...you'll have a OLLD revolt...!

Oh Roo... Lindt balls... one of my favs!
Wow, David that is very impressive. What a job just cleaning it up must have been. Can't wait to see more. I'm sure Bobbi still has Revere Pewter going cheap.
Roo-I have the bird pillow in room finally but the euro sham inserts that they send me are smaller than the size I really need. Tell me which one you like.
I think it was Dy one time suggested on a post that the poster paint their room Revere Pewter. It was so funny, without a word being said the OLLDS absolutely descended like flies at a picnic with all sorts of threats.

Roo-see that you sleeping well. My favorite chocolate is nothing fancy just Mr. Goodbar and Almond Joy.
Benjamin Moore must have made millions on that color. I keep hoping they'll lose the formula somehow.

Hi Angela - definitely NOT the floral ones, they are way too wishy washy. Sorry, I always give a brutally honest opinion, otherwise what is the point of asking me ?? I would like to see more of the back ones, they were really nice and the bushy/stick look tied in with the birds. Can't remember how you had them arranged before that showed much more of the sticks.

The floral ones is the pillows that came with the sheet set. I tried to buy euro shams inserts and they send me the wrong size so that is why you cannot see them that well. I am going to get inserts local and will try again.

I don't mind them... WITH the solid orange pillows and the stick pillows. By themselves, not strong enough. But you could probably lose them, and just keep the sticks and the solids.

I've heard of Mr. Goodbar but not seen it here, don't know Almond Joy at all. There is another brand of chocolate that is nice called Whittakers, I think it might be English. They make a yummy peanut bar that has the nuts ground into the chocolate.

I can only eat Chocolate if it is frozen, room temp is just too sweet for me. Maybe I should stop making room for it in the freezer.

    Yes, Roo maybe you should.
All I know of Almond Joy is the commercials that used to play during Saturday morning cartoons "Almond Joy's got nuts... Mounds don't.." I'm not a huge fan of processed coconut. Real coconut... picked out of my coconut drink on the beach... yes!
Angela, I can see them being nice as part of a sheet set, but I just don't think they make enough statement with the other pillows and busy the whole thing up too much. Maybe bury them at the back and put the stick pillows on top to raise them a bit, put the orange in front and the bird in front of them.

So frustrating when stores don't get things right.

    Here ya go Roo
Dave, yes that was the time I was talking about, it was so much funnier to us the way the OLLDS just descended on him. There was another post more recently where I said it should be banned and bobbi offered to pour it into the Pacific Ocean so it could find it's way here.
Ahha, it is a Hershey bar. I think Hershey have a few lines here, but they just aren't taking off. I think maybe they use a compounded chocolate??
Wow, kd - that commercial could be taken many ways!!! Probably get banned here. Coconut ......... drool.
Ok, so I buried them as you suggested.
Kimdee-I have the luxury of having a coconut tree in the front of my house. Just picked some coconuts the other day.
I love fresh coconut! It's that shredded dried stuff in the package that I can't tolerate. I wish I could have a coconut tree... and a lemon tree... when I was in Palm Springs this spring I made fresh lemonade from the lemons on the tree at the house we were renting.... so good.

Always wanted a lemon tree, still waiting. Night kd - lucky I have 7 hours to detox on the chocolate before bed.
Angela, much better, cleaner and sharper. I wish I could remember how you had them before.

You are right Roo, in the original picture they were not showing but the white ones were. I love them, just mad that the inserts did not fit.
I love lemonade Roo so that will be perfect.
I have a new landscaper now so hopefully I can get him to plant some more tree in the back yard for me.
The nightstands showed up today too but too much to put together tonight so will do it in the morning.

Morning to you Angela and Night to me, I'm about to hit the sack, unless anything exciting happens. How are you enjoying sleeping in your "new" room.

    Sweet dreams, Ms Roo!
Night, Roo and I love it. Took one nightstand out of the box. Not liking the top of them, guess I did not pay attention to the pine top.
Angela, those are rather French country, not really like your other furniture, maybe you need more modern transitional like your bed and new dresser. The old dresser is sleek enough to mix with anything, but new nightstands are a little country. Can you return them if you want to?

Home now, hubby is on top of the world. Seems everything is a-ok, glad to get out of the city, wasn't fun with him cooped up!!! Only I can clip his wings and keep him in, not some silly ailment!! He's good and I'm so thankful. :))))
@David....I can barely read your words because I can just see it, and it is so delicious and exciting what u r planning....It SO needs to be a featured in a magazine!!
-My only suggestion would be to "sage" the place to ensure no ghosts of vengeful, beheaded chickens come back to roost/haunt!!
@kimdee...Everyone needs to devour a whole pie by themselves once in awhile!!
    MP...Love the bird!
Mforr...Thank goodness!! Glad hubby is o.k.!!
Hi Roo...hope u r dreaming lovely storybook happenings...
Hi EZ, Angela...Hi Linda and Olldcan.
I am going to make chicken enchiladas as soon as I get off the computer...
How are the enchiladas? Sounds yummy :)
@mforr...the enchiladas turned out fine...considering Jay got a bee sting on the sole of his foot & hollered for approx. 3 hours...by far the worst ever...he has had a sting before and never reacted so strongly...Benadryl, Tylenol, ice, topical anesthetic....Lord have mercy it was literally a "scream", and not the good kind. Finally the stinging subsided and he passed out in the backyard on a comforter with a fire going...completely exhausted.
    How's everyone else doing tonight?
