Grind out the filler and replace it with color matched methylmethacrylate like Integra Adhesives please. It will outshine the stone; I've had to knock it down to get a match on occasion.

I have some filler on my stone backsplash. I wasn't happy with it, because I wasn't told in advance about the possibility of a filler. I had no idea there was such as thing as a filler for a natural stone. But there it is. I would not want it on a counter. I would change it before it's too late, eat the cost if you have to. I don't know who's fault it would be.

Original slabs did not have these large black spots dull and black!

I see areas with black spots on the original slab pics. Can you orient your counter pic to the slab and see if the black spots are original? I see several areas that could match. But it is hard to compare at different angles.

In the last photo you posted, are the black areas that look like filler different in shape and luster to the black minerals elsewhere on the slab?

Yes and dull! So they stand out!

Picture does not show sheen but very obvious not a natural material.

This whole area is filler I guess that’s why it is so noticeable. I did not know this when I chose my slab that it could vary so much from what I picked... just need the solution?

Maybe 5 filler spots in one corner.
