Would it look ok If 1 side of verticals strip was thinner than the other?

Hi, I was able to obtain a picture of the actual situation.
On the right side is a pantry.
There are actually 2 issues.

1. The vertical casing on right side of patio door, fits perfectly, but there is not enough extra room for the horizontal piece to overhang.

...so I may get a slimmer verticals strip... should I do that for both sides?

2. The deco strip on horizontal is a little too thick, and the pantry door won’t be able to open fully.

..may have to move the pantry towards fridge... remove 5/8” (6”deep) vertical panel.
